QUICK REFERENCE guidelines for keeping a sick child home from school:
- Child should be fever-free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medication).
- Child should be free of vomiting/diarrhea for 24 hours.
- If diagnosed with strep throat or conjunctivitis, child must have 24 hours of antibiotic treatment before returning.

Attention Parents:
If your child requires over-the-counter medication during the school day, you must complete an Over-the-counter Medication Permission Form and bring it in with the medication (in the original container) to the health room by an adult. *Prescription medications require the prescribing physician’s signature.

Student Health Screenings:
Vision screenings will be provided in October for students in 4K - 12th grade. The Lion's Club provides the screenings for free!!
Hearing and speech screenings will be offered to students in grades 4K-1st grade + and by parent or teacher request. Pee Dee Speech & Hearing provides these screenings at a minimal charge.
