Where were you born?
I was born in Pensacola, Florida. I have lived in Pensacola, Florida; Greenville, South Carolina; West Jefferson, North Carolina; Matthews, North Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Florence, South Carolina.
What is your educational background?
I graduated from Northside Christian Academy- High School
I received a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
I received a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Pensacola Christian College.
What is your philosophy of Christian education?
I believe that Christian education is a command from God. Children are to be brought up in nurture and admonition of the Lord. We, as Christian educators, need to present Christ to the children so they can view the world from a Biblical perspective. We need to instill Christ-like characteristics in our children so they can be equipped to fight against the evils of this world. Our mission is to bring children to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
What is your favorite thing about TKA?
My joy is coming to school every day and knowing that I can spend the first part of my day teaching Bible. I love seeing children experience the power of answered prayer. It is a privilege and honor to teach and train children for God’s Kingdom. It is joy unspeakable and full of glory to see children accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. What an AWESOME adventure I get to experience!!
What is something fun or interesting about you?
I have been to Israel. I stayed at a Kibbutz while at the Sea of Galilee. I have watched the sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. I have walked the Via Dolorosa. I have ridden a camel while at the Dead Sea.
I have traveled to Europe: England, France, Germany, Liechenstein, Switzerland, and Austria.
I have been to The Louvre Museum in Paris, France. I have been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I have been to the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. I have been to Piccadilly Circus in London, England.
