Where were you born?
I was born in Lexington, SC, but we moved to Darlington when I was 3 so I grew up in Darlington.
What is your educational background?
I graduated from Darlington High School in 1997. I then attended Francis Marion University. I graduated in 2001 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
What is your philosophy of Christian education?
I believe in combining teaching with prayer, encouragement, and discipline. I believe Christian education should include a positive presentation of the Gospel of Truth as the answer to the ultimate questions in each subject. The gospel is proclaimed as the answer to the student's deepest need for purpose, meaning and goals in learning.
What is your favorite thing about TKA?
My favorite thing about TKA is the love the students and teachers have for each other, but most importantly the love that is demonstrated for God on a daily basis in and out of the classroom.
What is something fun or interesting about you?
I did my student teaching in Christ Church, New Zealand, and lived there for 3 months. It was an amazing learning experience!
