Where were you born?

I was born and raised in Midland, Texas.

What is your educational background?

I attended Texas Tech University for two years, then moved to Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in chemistry, physics, and education. I received a master’s degree in reading and language from Northern Arizona University and received certification as a reading specialist. I am trained as an Orton Gillingham tutor and have taken a graduate course at Southeastern University in Educational Therapy.

What is your philosophy of Christian education?

Christian Education allows educators to teach all content areas from a Biblical perspective, providing the student with a Christian worldview filter. It builds this filter on a solid moral and ethical foundation that comes from the absolute truth of God’s word. It allows us to teach the whole child and through His Word lead them into conformity with God’s will for their lives.

What is your favorite thing about TKA?

I love the relationships between faculty, staff, and students I see at TKA. There is genuine caring, concern, and respect shown by everyone. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ, working toward a common goal.

What is something interesting about you?

I love to cook and can get quite creative. I also love to sing and have been known to break into song occasionally. You may also see me singing while driving.
