Where were you born?
I was born and grew up in Spartanburg, SC. Moved to Florence in 1999.
What is your educational background?
I graduated from Spartanburg High School. I also graduated from College of Charleston with a B.S. in Psychology and from Converse College with a M.Ed in Special Education.
What is your philosophy of Christian education?
My philosophy of Christian education is based on a Biblical worldview. I believe that God created us to know Him and through our relationship with Him we can understand all that He created. God made us in His image to reason, understand and be creative.
What is your favorite thing about TKA?
My favorite thing about TKA is the sense of caring and community among the faculty, staff, students, and families. You always know that someone is there to help or pray with you.
What is something fun or interesting about you?
I enjoy cooking (especially baking) and gardening (flowers and vegetables). I’m partial to summer because I love being outside, especially near a pool, beach or lake. If money wasn’t an object, I would travel the world! I enjoy spending time with my husband, Richie, and my grown sons, Cameron (wife- Sara) and Chase.
I love to sing and used to sing solos with my church youth choir. I have also sung at weddings.
